Dining out is a great way to socialize with friends and family while also taking a break from cooking. Many restaurant meals, however, come in huge portions, and are therefore very caloric, and are also high in salt, sugar, and fat.
If you eat out often like me, it is helpful to cultivate healthy habits when eating out while also giving yourself permission to enjoy some of your favorite foods. Some healthy habits include paying attention to how much food is on your plate, ordering dishes grilled instead of fried, and tuning into your hunger levels and eating more slowly.
