Dear readers,
I want to take this opportunity to wish you a year of health, happiness, and fulfillment in 2019 and to thank you for following my work. I’m so excited to share that my new book, Finally Full, Finally Slim, published by Center Street comes out next week, January 8, 2019.
Here’s a sneak peek about it in the New York Post written by Lauren Steussy. A large feature story (cover story!) is published in today’s (January, 2, 2019) print edition of the Post. Here is the 3 page spread-p.25, 26, and 27.

How to lose weight–and still eat pasta.
Pasta, popcorn and waffles are OK on this New Year’s diet plan.
Here are some highlights.
✅ The key to losing weight in 2019 may have less to do with what you eat, and more to do with how much you eat. Choosing the right portions of different food groups is the easiest place to start. You can enjoy your favorite foods, lose weight, and feel better following the program outlined in Finally Full, Finally Slim.
✅ You can eat your favorite foods, just not all at once. And there is no need to ban entire food groups.
✅ At each meal, produce should take up half of your plate or more, although you can have unlimited fruits and veggies throughout the day if you so choose. Starches such as bread or potatoes can take up about a quarter of your plate, as can protein from meat or meat alternatives.
Enjoy unlimited amounts of fruits and veggies. (Bananas do NOT make you fat!)
✅ Learn how to create a healthy mindset and believe you can feel great, lose weight, and have more energy.
✅ Master some simple habits to improve your well being.
✅Enjoy eating out in restaurants and learn to create a perfect snack.
Quick tip: “Make takeout work for you. Get your favorite indulgent takeout order, but also order a hefty vegetable dish. Cut the two dishes in half and either share or save the other half for leftovers.“
✅ You will become a portion pro in no time! And more…
Enjoy! Here’s to a wonderful 2019.
