Brussels sprouts get their name from Brussels, the capital of Belgium, where they were first grown in the 16th century. Brussels sprouts are a member of the cruciferous family, and are relatives of cauliflower, broccoli, and kale.
They are super nutritious and rich in vitamins and minerals including vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, potassium, and calcium.
Brussels sprouts often get a bad rap because many people don’t know how to prepare them well. This recipe will change your mind. It is full of flavor, texture, and truly addicting. (This brief video captures how to make this dish.)
