I enjoy oatmeal, not just in the winter months but throughout the whole year.
Oats are rich soluble fiber which can help to lower cholesterol and keep you feeling full. Oats also contain insoluble fiber which prevents constipation and may reduce the risk of colon cancer.
Try this filling oatmeal—the trick is to add some protein and healthy fat to keep you satiated. I like adding a spoonful of peanut butter as well as a teaspoon of ground flax and chia seeds. And, of course I add colorful fruit.
