What to buy–and what to skip–at Trader Joe’s

Do you shop at Trader Joe’s? I love shopping at Trader Joe’s. For me, it ends up being a night activity because where I live, on the upper east side in NYC, we don’t yet have a Trader Joe’s. So, I visit the upper west side or the SOHO location, peruse the aisles, and shop for my favorite products.

I weighed in for several articles on some of my favorite (and least favorite) picks at TJs. I’m sharing them here along with links to the stories I helped with.

In this piece for Eat This, Not That!, I share some of my top picks. I offer some other best bets and worst choices in this article.

TOP PICKS

  • Hearts of Palm Pasta
  • Kimchi and Tofu Soup
  • Autumnal Harvest Soup
  • Pumpkin Spice Coffee
  • Organic Veggie Bites

The hearts of palm pasta is so good, it is also the TJ manager’s choice.

Here are some of my least-favorite picks. Keep them on the store shelf or enjoy on occasion.

  • Vegan Cream Cheese Alternative
  • Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese Bites
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese Alternative
  • Pumpkin Bisque
  • Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese Bites

Have a great week.

And enjoy a small portion of the crispy peanut butter filled milk chocolate peanuts (one of my favorite treats!) as a post-Halloween treat.

I’d love to hear some of your favorite picks.
